During her appearance on 'The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast', the mom of one explains that the unpredictable filming schedule of the Netflix series took over her life.

AceShowbiz - Appearing on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, Heather Rae Young El Moussa has revealed her relief at leaving the Netflix reality series "Selling Sunset" after seven seasons.
"It was a blessing that I wasn't asked to come back because I'm so much happier filming my show with Tarek," Heather said, referring to The Flipping El Moussas, which she co-produces and stars in with her husband, Tarek El Moussa.
Heather explained that the unpredictable filming schedule of "Selling Sunset" took over her life, making it difficult to balance her real estate career and personal life. "With Selling Sunset, I never knew when I was going to be filming. It was last minute, it took over my life, it was hard to do my real job — real estate. It was hard to do anything else."
The demanding schedule also took a toll on Heather emotionally. "Some days were so tough that she came home crying," Tarek shared. Heather added that she often worked 12-14 hour days while filming, keeping her away from her family.
Heather described the atmosphere on "Selling Sunset" as "very toxic." "You're around a bunch of women that everyone wants to be stars on the show, you know, number one. And they'll kind of do anything."
Her departure from "Selling Sunset" has allowed Heather to prioritize her family and work on her new HGTV show with Tarek. "I love being able to prioritize my family and my happiness and step away from some of the drama that Selling Sunset brought into my life," she said. "I can just film with my husband now, drama-free."
Despite her negative experience on "Selling Sunset", Heather expressed gratitude for her time on the show. "I've been there from the pilot, from the beginning," she said. "It was a great experience, but I'm happy to be done with it."
