BLACKPINK's Lisa to Star in 'White Lotus' Season 3

While the K-Pop singer's role in the upcoming season is kept under wraps, the 'Money' hitmaker's appearance on the hit HBO series will mark her acting debut.

AceShowbiz - Season 3 of "The White Lotus" has added a K-Pop star to its cast. BLACKPINK member Lisa has reportedly joined the upcoming new season of the hit HBO series which will be set in Thailand.

According to Variety, the "Money" hitmaker will be credited under her real name, Lalisa Manobal. Details about the role of Lisa, who is Thai, on the popular series are still kept under wraps.

The third season of "The White Lotus" will begin its production in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand this month. The exact plot details are unknown but the upcoming installment will follow a new group of guests at a White Lotus resort property.

Lisa will join Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O'Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon and Scott Glenn. The cast also includes Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravicius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola.

Lisa's appearance on "The White Lotus" will mark her acting debut. The "Pink Venom" hitmaker, however, won't be the first BLACKPINK member to make a foray into acting. Prior to this, her groupmate Jennie made her own acting debut on the drama "The Idol", which premiered in June 2023.

Having recently established her own management company named Lloud Co., Lisa has broken several records for herself. She's the first female artist to sell 736,999 copies in the first week in South Korea after releasing her solo album "Lalisa" in 2021.

Not stopping there, her singles from the album, "Lalisa" and "Money", charted in the top ten of the Billboard Global 200. The latter even became the longest-charting song by a female K-Pop soloist on the U.S. Billboard 100 and U.K. Singles Chart. She additionally broke three Guinness World Records in 2023 as the Most Instagram followers for a K-Pop artist and the first solo K-Pop winner at both the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards.
