The reality TV star and the entrepreneur's breakup reportedly surprises her 'Real Housewives of Miami' co-stars as 'there was no hint that there was trouble in paradise.'

AceShowbiz - Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are rumored to have called it quits and now a new report has confirmed the story. The reality TV star and the former college basketball player reportedly broke up due to "tension" in their relationship.

"They're not together," a source told Page Six on Monday, February 12 after Larsa ignited the rumors over the weekend. They "are taking space from each other" due to the "tension" in their relationship, which was allegedly "incited" by Marcus' dad Michael Jordan's publicly denouncing it. "Marcus said Michael was joking when he said he didn't approve, but it really mortified Larsa," the source elaborated.

Michael's past feud with Larsa's ex-husband Scottie Pippen allegedly also created friction for the couple. The source shared, "The history between Michael and Scottie made things complicated, even if Larsa and Marcus did their best to make it a non-issue."

In the end, "family comes before everything for both Larsa and Marcus," the source added, before stressing, "At the end of the day, Michael is Marcus' dad and Scottie is the father of Larsa's children. There is a baseline loyalty for each of them that made the relationship difficult to navigate."

Another source close allegedly close to the couple begged to differ though, saying that their split "has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth." The same insider added, "They have decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship."

Meanwhile, a third source close to "The Real Housewives of Miami" production said that Larsa's castmates are "surprised" by the breakup. "No one saw this coming. It really seems like a sudden decision. There was no hint that there was trouble in paradise," the source claimed.

Larsa reportedly has not talked about the matter personally with her co-stars, so "the ladies have a lot of questions." Of the estranged pair, the production source added, "They seemed so in love. If they got back together, it wouldn't surprise anyone."

After more than a year of dating, Larsa sparked the breakup rumors by unfollowing Marcus on Instagram. She also removed all photos of the 33-year-old from her account. Further fueling the break-up speculation, she shared a cryptic Instagram Story over the weekend.

The 49-year-old created a pool that asked her followers, "Should your friends unfollow your ex?" She additionally shared a video of Morgan Freeman speaking about trusting your "inner voice."
