AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen has responded to Jen Shah's statement following season 4 finale of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City". In the Wednesday, January 3 episode of his radio show, the Bravo executive addressed the incarcerated star's comment, in which she took aim at Andy while also denying that she gave Heather Gay black eye.
On his show, Andy said that the reason why Bravo didn't air any footage for the alleged altercation between the co-stars was because the network didn't have it. "I don't want to be Captain Obvious here, but if we had footage, don't you think we would have aired it?" the 55-year-old asked.
He continued, "Don't you think we would have [shown] Heather saying, 'I don't know how I got the black eye' and then don't you think we would have cut to the footage with a Chiron that said, 'Four hours earlier?' "
The "Watch What Happens Live" host also reacted to Jen saying that he's butt hurt after she turned down an interview gig. "Second of all, I had forgotten about the one on one with Jen," he told his listeners. "She is right. I did want to do a one on one with her [but] I don't care about it anymore. I'm over it."
Andy added that the reason the pair didn't sit down for an interview was because Jen's "stipulations were insane." He revealed that Jen wanted Bravo to do a "docuseries of her days leading up to jail" and demanded "a lot of money" for the exclusive. "So, that's that. That's my response to that," he concluded.
Andy's remarks came after Jen issued a statement from prison after "RHOSC" aired its season 4 finale on Tuesday. "BRAVO, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it. It's clear the show can't live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle and end of season 4," she said at the time.
She later blasted Andy, accusing the Bravo honcho of being "butt hurt that I turned down his 1:1 interview." She added, "Why would you sit down with someone who 'gave' another cast member a black eye? Next story."
In the finale, Heather made a shocking revelation about her infamous black eye. While confronting newcomer Monica Garcia about her alleged involvement with the Instagram account Reality Von (Tea)se, Heather said of Jen, "Who you are made no sense, but the way you acted was strangely familiar. And the pain that we went through and the way that we were tormented and tortured? I ate s**t every day for her. I felt like I had to lie to protect her. I did whatever it took. I went on book tour and defended her, and took s**t for the fact that she gave me a black eye."
