The former NFL star, who has been taking weeks-long absence due to 'family matter,' is also expected to return to 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday, November 15.

AceShowbiz - Michael Strahan has finally returned to the game. After taking a 2-week hiatus, the former NFL star re-joined the other football analysts in the latest episode of "FOX NFL Sunday" on November 12 that celebrated Veterans Day.

Honoring veterans, the episode was filmed live at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. It also featured veterans, including U.S. Marine veteran Sarah Rudder and San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, sharing inspirational stories about serving in the military.

Michael additionally took part in the "FOX NFL Sunday" TikTok video where he played a quiz to guess the meaning of military terms with Rob Gronkowski, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson. Michael's return arrived after his co-host Curt Menefee revealed in the November 5 broadcast that "Michael Strahan isn't with us this week, dealing with a personal family matter."

Despite his return, Michael has yet to address his weeks-long absence. He also hasn't posted on social media since October 25. At the time, he used his platform to promote "The $100,000 Pyramid".

Meanwhile, the former New York Giants star is expected to return to "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, November 15. Earlier this month, an ABC spokesperson issued a statement regarding Michael's absence. "Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters," adding, "We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns."

During his absence, "Nightline" co-anchor Juju Chang and "World News Tonight" host Linsey Davis have been taking turns to fill his seat. The two will join Michael's "Good Morning America" co-hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Ginger Zee.

Michael first joined "GMA" as a part-timer in 2014. Following his departure from "Live with Kelly and Michael", the NFL Hall of Famer became a full-time co-anchor on ABC's flagship morning show in 2016.
