In her book titled 'Behind the Shoulder Pads: Tales I Tell My Friends', the 90-year-old actress and author claims Harry 'jumped on the table in front of attendees during Cher's performance.

AceShowbiz - Harry Styles might have owed Joan Collins an apology. The former One Direction was called out by the "Dynasty" alum in her new memoir for allegedly blocking her view when Cher was performing at the 2019 Met Gala.

In her book titled "Behind the Shoulder Pads: Tales I Tell My Friends", the 90-year-old wrote, "Harry Styles jumped on the table in front of us [those sitting on her table], obscuring our view, and took no notice of our entreaties to 'get down, we can't see.' " She added, "The sophisticated crowd went mad for her [Cher], standing up whooping and cheering."

"Bette Midler, wearing a top hat and tailcoat in glittery black sequins, came to our table and boogied with Julianne Moore," the actress further recalled. "And I glimpsed Gwyneth Paltrow and Katie Holmes doing the same... Cher left after her first number then came back wearing her original Bob Mackie sleek black embroidered bodysuit and a massive black curly wig to sing 'Believe'."

Despite the unpleasant moment, Joan said she would "go back to the Met in a heartbeat." She gushed, "I loved my first Met Ball, and I would certainly go again in a heartbeat, although at $30,000 [£24,700] a seat, I'll wait to be invited!"

When Cher belted out one of her classics, "Believe", at the ]2019 Met Gala, Harry and other stars like Katy Perry were indeed dancing along. Cher herself also performed the rendition of "If I Could Turn Back Time" and ABBA's "Waterloo" at the event.

The now 77-year-old music icon concluded her performance by delivering a lengthy, heartfelt speech. "I wasn't going to say anything tonight, but then I saw the 'First Monday in May' documentary and it reminded me of when I was a little kid, and it made me kind of excited and depressed, and drama queen-ish," she said at the time. "But I was really poor, and dyslexic... I had to wear rubber bands on my shoes. I was s**t poor, but I had this love of color and painting and patterns and everything, fabric."

"When that 64 box of Crayola came out, I lost my mind. I wanted something, and I wanted to be more than just a singer and when I met Sonny he'd do anything I'd want him to do, so I just lived out my dream with him, and we just kept going," she added. "I just want you to know how proud I am to be here and be a part of this."
