According to a new report, 64-year-old Jane Schneck was arrested in her Florida home on Friday, April 29 following a late-night dispute with her husband over excessively loud TV volume.

According to Denise Moloney, public information officer for the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Jane was booked on one count of domestic battery after an altercation that started because she was playing music loudly on the TV. "Jane was playing the music too loud on the television and the other party wanted to go to sleep, causing the dispute, which escalated to physical," Denise shared.
According to TMZ, Jane's altercation with her husband came after an evening of drinking. Her playing music too loud bothered her husband, who had trouble falling asleep.
The other party, who is revealed to be her husband, then started filming Jane, who later grabbed the person's wrist and arms. He showed the video to the police before Jane was arrested for domestic violence.
Jane was eventually released on a $100 bond from custody at Hernando County Detention Center Saturday morning and is ordered to appear in court though the date has not been set.
Meanwhile, Jane's singer son Nick faced legal woes of his own. He was sued by former Dream singer Melissa Schuman for sexual assault and battery. The Backstreet Boys member was accused of performing oral sex on Melissa in 2003 against her will and forcing her to reciprocate. Melissa also claimed that Nick later took her virginity even though she told him she was saving herself for marriage.
Nick, however, denied the allegations. Calling the lawsuit "pathetic" and "PR stunt," Nick's attorney Liane K. Wakayama said, "Melissa Schuman has been peddling this tale for many years, but her allegation was false when she first made it back in 2017 - and it still is. A judge in Nevada recently ruled, after reviewing the extensive evidence we laid out, that there are strong grounds for Nick Carter to proceed with his lawsuit against Ms. Schuman for plotting to damage, defame and extort Nick, his associates, his friends and his family."
"In light of our progress in Nevada, this kind of response is at once both predictable and pathetic," the lawyer continued. "But this PR stunt won't shake Nick from his determination to hold Ms. Schuman and her co-conspirators to account for the immeasurable pain and suffering their extortionate conduct has caused."
