According to new report, both the 'In Da Club' rapper and Remy want more time to possibly settle their legal dispute over the alleged copyright infringement.

AceShowbiz - 50 Cent is apparently getting closer to reaching the end of one of his ongoing legal issues. If a new report is to be believed, the "In Da Club" rapper is nearing a settlement with Remy Martin in the Branson Cognac lawsuit.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's Sire Spirits and Remy are reportedly working on settling their legal dispute over alleged copyright infringement, per All Hip Hop. The longtime cognac brand accuses Fif's Branson Cognac of replicating their Centaure de Diamant bottle design. Sire believes Remy is trying to "eliminate competition."

On Monday, February 6, Sire Spirits' legal team debunked Remy's claims, stating that the bottle's design is "simply too basic to be locked up by any single company." Attorney Reena Jain stated, "No brand or company has the right to exclude others from making or selling curved bottle for Cognac or other alcohol. Nonetheless, Remy Martin is on a mission to eliminate Sire Spirits from the Cognac market."

According to Reuters, on Friday, February 3, E. Remy Martin & Co sued the "Power" co-creator in a Manhattan court. Remy reportedly deemed the Branson bottle as a "blatant attempt" to copy its X.O. silhouette. Per outlet, the Branson design has been described as "nearly indistinguishable" from Remy's bottle, the complaint stated. Remy also called it a "near exact reproduction."

50 Cent himself had previously commented on the allegations in a since-deleted Instagram post, claiming that Remy was just jealous of Branson's successes. "They are afraid of me already," Fiddy wrote. "Branson Cognac is the new wave. REMY is #2 Behind Henny and worried about Branson SMH I'm just getting started."

The update on the case arrived amid his ongoing penis enhancement lawsuit against MedSpa and the 20th anniversary of 50's debut album "Get Rich or Die Tryin' ". The Queens rapper commemorated the moment by making a slew of special edition vinyls available to fans. "20 years ago today, I dropped the largest debuting hip hop album of all time," the emcee wrote on Instagram. "Here's Your chance to Own a piece of History!"
