Patrick Xavier Clark, who was arrested exactly one month after Takeoff's tragic death in Houston, is asking a judge for money to hire a private investigator to prove his innocence.

AceShowbiz - Takeoff's suspected killer is requesting funds to help build his defense. It was unveiled that Patrick Xavier Clark is asking a judge for money to hire a private investigator to prove his innocence.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Patrick asked for $5,000 because he and his family ran out of money after paying his lawyer. He argued that he needs a private investigator to "properly investigate [his] case and to prepare effectively for trial."
The murder suspect claimed he's already identified a private investigator who will work on the case. The P.I. reportedly will do the job for a reduced rate of $85 an hour.
Patrick was taken into custody exactly one month after Takeoff's tragic death in Houston. Sgt. Michael Burrow of the Houston Police confirmed that the shooting occurred after some people at the party played a dice game and an argument broke out, but the late [c=Migos member was not involved in the dice game nor the argument.
"I can tell you that Takeoff was not involved in playing in the dice game, he was not involved in the argument that happened outside, he was not armed," he stated. "He was an innocent bystander." Chief Troy Finner of the Houston Police Department noted that Takeoff had been in the "wrong place at the wrong time."
Sergeant Burrow added that of the people present when the shooting occurred, no one stayed on the scene to give a statement to police. He urged those who were there to come forward. Meanwhile, investigators were able to determine Patrick fired the lethal shot through video surveillance, cellphone footage and other physical evidence.
Patrick is facing a murder charge and being held on a $2 million bond. If he manages to make bail, he will be placed on house arrest and prohibited from smoking weed or using any other controlled substance without a prescription. In addition, he will be required to refrain from speaking to TakeOff's family, as well as J. Prince Jr. and boxer Shakur Stevenson, who were at the scene of the crime.
