Houston Police Chief Troy Finner reveals that the 33-year-old man was arrested on Thursday evening, December 1 and has been charged with murder in connection to the rapper's death.

AceShowbiz - Takeoff's suspected murderer has been taken into police custody. One month after the Migos star was fatally shot at the 810 Billiards and Bowling Houston in Texas, a man named Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner revealed that the 33-year-old man was arrested on Thursday evening, December 1 and has been charged with murder in connection to the rapper's death. During a Friday news conference, Police Sgt. Michael Burrow also divulged that the shooting followed a dispute over a game of dice.

"I can tell you Takeoff was not involved in playing the dice game, he was not involved in the argument that happened outside, he was not armed," Burrow stated. "He was an innocent bystander."

According to Burrow, Clark has been determined as the suspected shooter of Takeoff through shooting reconstruction and ballistics evidence. Police have also obtained cellphone and surveillance footage that has "surfaced over time."

The announcement arrived just days after Lil Cam 5th a.k.a. Joshua Cameron was charged in connection with the case. However, prosecutors said he is not believed to have fired a weapon during the shooting.

Lil Cam's atorney Christopher Downey and prosecutors spoke about his case at a court hearing in Houston on Wednesday, November 30. According to AllHipHop, while Lil Cam was caught on surveillance footage having a weapon at the crime scene, the district attorney's office did not accuse him of shooting Takeoff.

"We believe Cameron Joshua has been appropriately charged in this case," lead prosecutor Matt Gilliam told reporters. "And we're continuing our investigation into the death of Takeoff."

Downey, meanwhile, insisted, "I haven't seen anything to suggest that Cameron Joshua had anything to do with the shooting, that he discharged a firearm that caused [Takeoff's] death or was he even involved," amid ramblings on the Internet that Lil Cam might have executed an order from the higher-ups at J. Prince Jr.'s Mob Ties Records to commit such crimes.
