In the new episode of the NBC talent competition show, eleven acts that performed in the previous episode finally learn their fates as only two of them are given a spot in the Finals.

AceShowbiz - In the Wednesday, August 17 episode of "America's Got Talent", the eleven acts that performed the night before learned their fates. Only two of them would be heading to the Finals and given a chance to take home the coveted grand prize.
Wyn Starks and Duo Rings were the first two acts to find out their results. Duo Rings made it to the Top 5 of the night, meaning that Wyn was eliminated. Later, host Terry Crews brought Freckled Zelda and Maddie to the stage. It was revealed that Maddie was still in the race. Joining Howie Mandel's Golden Buzzer was The Brown Brothers. Meanwhile, Fusion Japan was sent home.
Yu Hojin, Aiko Tanaka and Mr. Pants were the next acts to be called to the front of the stage next. In a nailbiter moment, Yu was revealed to have made it to the Top 5.
Chapel Hart and The Pack Drumline were the two acts left on stage while there's only one spot left in the Top 5 of the second Qualifiers. The two of them wowed the judges and the audience with their stunning performances, but it was Chapel who was sent to the Top 5.
Simon Cowell was happy that Chapel stayed in the competition, but he felt bad that The Pack Drumline's journey ended that night. He encouraged the group to "never give up on your dream."
Terry then narrowed down the Top 5 to Top 3, which was revealed to consist of Yu Hojin, Maddie and Chapel Heart. The first act to make it to the Finals was Chapel. Meanwhile, the second finalist announced that night was Yu, meaning that Maddie was shockingly sent home despite previously winning a Golden Buzzer.
Yu and Chapel join Avery Dixon and Drake Milligan as finalists.
