AceShowbiz - Alden Ehrenreich is the latest actor to join Marvel Cinematic Universe. The "Solo: A Star Wars Story" actor reportedly will star alongside Dominique Thorne on the upcoming Disney+ series "Ironheart". Alden's role on the series, which is being created by Chinaka Hodge, is currently kept under wraps.

In addition to Dominique, who will play Riri Williams-a genius inventor who creates a suit of armor that rivals Iron Man's own invention, other cast members on the forthcoming project include Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross and Manny Montana. The six-part show will also see Chinaka serving as head writer on the show.

"Ironheart" is based on the Marvel character of the same name, which was originally created for Marvel Comics in 2016, and first appeared in "Invincible Iron Man" Vol. 2 #7. In the comic, Riri looks up to Tony Stark and he serves as a big influence on her work and character. She will also team up with many other young heroes, such as Miles Morales' Spider-Man and Kamala Khan's Ms. Marvel. Riri is first set to appear in "Black Panther" sequel "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" which will be releasing later this year.

In addition to "Ironheart", Alden has been tapped to star in Christopher Nolan's 2023 movie "Oppenheimer", which also features Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Matt Damon. The flick is set to hit theaters next summer. Alden will also be seen in Universal Pictures' Elizabeth Banks-directed feature "Cocaine Bear", which will be released next February.

Alden is known for his role as Han Solo in 2018's "Solo: A Star Wars Story". In the movie, which was considered a commercial flop as it grossed $393 million on a budget between $275-300 million, the 32-year-old was joined by Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover.
