Batiste leads the winner list with five awards, including the coveted Album of Year, while Silk Sonic nabs Record of the Year in addition to Song of the Year.

AceShowbiz - Jon Batiste topped the full winner list at the 2022 Grammy Awards. Leading the night with eleven nominations, he bagged the most awards at the Sunday, April 3 ceremony with five wins.
The "I Need You" singer took home one of the coveted awards at the annual award giving event, Album of the Year for "We Are", which was handed out at the top of the televised show. He defeated the likes of Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Tony Bennett and Lady GaGa, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X as well as Kanye West for the prize.
Batiste won four other awards which were announced at the Premiere Ceremony. During the webcast, he nabbed Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song for "Cry", shared Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media prize with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for the "Soul" film, and nabbed Best Music Video for "Freedom".
At the prime time ceremony, Batiste also took the stage to perform "Freedom". He opened it with an extended piano overture and then jumped into the gospel/funk arrangement, backed by a large cast of musicians, singers and dancers. He ended his performance standing atop Billie Eilish's table near the stage.
Also taking coveted awards at the Grammys was Silk Sonic. The superduo consisting of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak won Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Leave the Door Open". They were tapped as one of musical performers at the event, kicking off the show with a rendition of "777".
Nominated in eight categories, Doja Cat did not come home empty handed as she and SZA, her collaborator for "Kiss Me More", were honored with Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The "Say So" hitmaker had a TMI moment as she hinted that she won a Grammy while apparently in the bathroom, saying, "I've never taken such a fast piss in my whole life."
SZA, meanwhile, showed up on the stage wearing crutches. At the media room after the show, she explained how she injured herself. "I fell out of bed the day before I had to leave for the Grammys," she told the press.
Another big winner at the 64th annual Grammy Awards was Olivia Rodrigo. The 19-year-old songstress was named Best New Artist, in addition to winning Best Pop Vocal Album for "Sour" and Best Pop Solo Performance for ("Drivers License"), the latter of which marks her first Grammy win and was announced during the pre-telecast show.
Chris Stapleton won Best Country Album for "Starting Over", Jazmine Sullivan nabbed Best R&B Album for "Heaux Tales", and Baby Keem was awarded Best Rap Performance for "Family Ties" feat. Kendrick Lamar.
Meanwhile, at the Premiere Ceremony, Foo Fighters swept rock categories following drummer Taylor Hawkins' death. They group won Best Rock Performance ("Making a Fire"), Best Rock Song ("Waiting on a War") and Best Rock Album ("Medicine at Midnight").
This year's Grammy Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with Trevor Noah as the host. Taking the stage as musical performers were Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lady GaGa, BTS (Bangtan Boys), John Legend and Lil Nas X among others, while Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a surprise appearance to introduce Legend's performance and deliver an impassioned message.
