When giving her emotional testimony in court, the 'Bodak Yellow' raptress tells the jury that 'only an evil person could do that s**t' as she felt 'helpless' after the blogger shared more defamatory claims.

AceShowbiz - Cardi B has opened up about how the defamatory claims made by Latasha Kebe have affected her mental health. When giving her emotional testimony, the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker revealed that she's "depressed and suicidal" after being hit with various accusations made by the YouTuber.

On Thursday, January 13, the "Up" emcee told the jury in a Georgia courtroom, "I wanted to commit suicide over the things," as reported by TMZ. The 29-year-old hip-hop star stressed, "I felt extremely suicidal. I felt defeated and depressed and I didn't want to sleep with my husband."

"Only an evil person could do that s**t," Cardi said, before apologizing for her language. The "WAP" rapper added that Latasha's defamatory posts caused her to develop fatigue, anxiety, weight loss and migraines.

Cardi also stated that her depression made her feel unworthy of being a mother to her kids, adding that she "didn't deserve [her] kid." She then confessed that she eventually sought therapy to help her cope with her feelings.

When denying allegations she contracted herpes, Cardi mentioned the claims were extremely harmful as they resulted in disparaging comments and questions under a social media post of her kissing her daughter, Kulture Kiari, whom she shares with her husband Offset. The Grammy-winning artist eventually broke into tears amid her emotional testimony.

The libel trial began on Monday and stems from the lawsuit Cardi filed against Latasha in 2019. In the suit, she alleged that the blogger was trying to harm her reputation with a "malicious campaign" that included claims she contracted sexually transmitted diseases, worked as a prostitute, used cocaine and "f**ked herself with beer bottles on f**king stripper stages."

Following reports of Cardi's suicidal thoughts and her breakdown in the Georgia courtroom, fans of the rap star took to social media to show her some love and support. "We love you Cardi," wrote one fan, while another user said, "It was such a tough moment for you to be going through all that s**t. As pure-hearted and loving woman as you are. We always got you."

"Knowing that Cardi broke down in tears all because of this disgusting woman spreading lies just anger's me so much," another fan fumed. A separate fan went on saying, "WE LOVE YOU CARDI. Crazy how these bloggers forget that these celebrities are still human and spewing lies constantly about their character is hurtful and disrespectful. I feel terrible for Cardi."
