AceShowbiz - Saweetie has landed in hot water over her latest gig. After she seemingly forgot her lyrics while performing at the iHeartRadio KISS 108's Jingle Ball 2021 in New York, the "Best Friend" hitmaker found herself being dragged by Internet users on Twitter.

The 28-year-old hip-hop star, whose real name is Diamonte Quiava Valentin Harper, was joined by several dancers an a DJ while performing "ICY GRL" at the event. However, at one point, the DJ took over the rapping as the femcee seemingly forgot some words.

Footage of Saweetie's performance then made its way on Twitter, prompting some online users to criticize her. "How the DJ know the lyrics and preforming better? Saweetie better pay her!" one person urged, while another penned, "Saweetie lowkey looked stressed af n that performance. I can only imagine how terrible it must of felt to lose your breath and forget your lyrics like that in front of all them folks."

The backlash did not stop there. More came forward with one person writing, "saweetie it went from worse to worser." The individual then explained, "this post wasn't to come off as an attack, but we expect more now that Saweetie's Grammy-nominated. there's a bunch of newer females that are lyrically sickening and eating performances up already w/ less recognition. no breath control and mediocre performances after 4+ years?"

Some others, meanwhile, attacked the raptress over her "Icy Chain" performance, during which she clicked her heels and showed off her twerking skills. "Who keeps letting Saweetie do s**t like this?" one person questioned, while a different user said, "She look like one the toddlers playing in the bounce house at a birthday party." A third individual then commented, "I Would've Left. Cause What The F**k Is This? Her Manager Needs Their A** Whopped."
