The studio issues the counterattack statement just hours after the former 'Orange Is the New Black' actress made bombshell claims against the superhero series' executives.

AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. TV bosses have fired back at Ruby Rose's bombshell "Batwoman" claims by revealing they opted not to renew the actress' option for a second season after complaints about her behavior on set.

The Australian star stunned fans on Wednesday, October 20 when she revealed she was fired from the show and lashed out at showrunner Caroline Dries and executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter over unsafe conditions on set.

She claimed Dries made everyone work when the COVID-19 pandemic was shutting down other shows and she was forced to return to set 10 days after a neck injury, which eventually needed surgery.

Rose also called out co-star Dougray Scott, insisting he was "a nightmare" to work with.

Hours later, the "Batwoman" producers released a statement confirming Rose was let go in part because of "complaints about workplace behavior."

"Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned."

Javicia Leslie signed on to replace Rose as the show's lead ahead of season two. She'll return to front the upcoming third season, which will also feature the addition of Robin Givens.
