AceShowbiz - "The Masked Singer" aired its season 5 finale on Wednesday, May 26. In the episode, the Chameleon, the Black Swan and the Piglet hit the stage to sing for the last time before one of them was crowned as the winner of the current season of the hit FOX competition show.
Kicking off the night was season 4 champion LeAnn Rimes a.k.a. the Sun who sang "How Do I Live" before the Top 3 joined LeAnn. LeAnn then joined Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy as the guest panelist.
Later, the Chameleon hit the stage to perform "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio featuring L.V. Following it up was the Black Swan who sang "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" by Michael Bolton. Lastly, the Piglet took the stage to sing "Faithfully" by Journey.
After the amazing performances from the Top 3, it was time to reveal the results. The singer who finished at the third place was the Chameleon. Before he got unmasked, the panelists revealed their last guesses. Jenny initially thought he was Denzel Washington, but then she changed her mind to Gucci Mane.
Robin also changed his guess from Redfoo to Wiz Khalifa. Nicole also believed that the Chameleon could be Wiz, while Ken mentioned 2 Chainz. LeAnn went with Ken by guessing 2 Chainz. Robin and Nicole were right because the Chameleon was Wiz Khalifa!
Later, the Black Swan was announced as the runner-up. Robin's first impression was Rita Ora before he changed it to Normani Kordei. Meanwhile, Jenny guessed Monica when her first guess was actually Leighton Meester. Ken originally thought the Black Swan was Jessie J before he changed his tune to Demi Lovato. Nicole changed her mind from Natasha Bedingfield to JoJo with LeAnn agreeing with her. Nicole and LeAnn guessed corrected as the Black Swan was revealed to be JoJo!
With that, the Piglet was the winner of "The Masked Singer" season 5. Nicole initially guessed Cody Simpson before changing it to Brian Littrell. Robin, meanwhile, changed his guess from John Rzeznik to Nick Lachey. Ken guessed that the Piglet was Jeremy Renner. Jenny still believed that the Piglet was Nick Lachey and LeAnn agreed. When the Piglet pulled off his mask, he revealed that he's Nick Lachey. He took home the Golden Mask trophy while Jenny won second consecutive Golden Ear trophy.
