People have been talking about the sexual preference of the professional basketball player, who was infamously caught in a cheating scandal during his relationship with rapper Iggy Azalea, after a picture surfaced of him holding hands with a man.

The viral photo features the former Golden State Warriors star posing with Bear Clarkson, who is the younger brother of fellow NBA star Jordan Clarkson. In the image, the two men are standing side-by-side with their hands intertwined.

It's not clear who first uploaded the photo on the Internet, but it has got people convinced that Nick has come out of the closet as gay. Jordan, who was his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, also weighed in on the picture, hinting that he always knew Nick was gay as he commented below the photo with "not news."

However, it appeared that Nick was trolling people with the picture as some social media users suggested that it was the 34-year-old athlete himself who leaked it. He later took to Instagram to seemingly address the gay speculation, claiming, "I was fooling y'all those was joke!!!"

This isn't the first time Nick was hit with gay rumors. He previously sparked a speculation that he may be a bisexual after he left a flirty comment on a photo of singer August Alsina, complimenting his "sexy" lips.

The gay speculation aside, Nick has been engaged to his high school sweetheart and baby mama Keonna Green, after he proposed to her in December 2019. The basketball star popped the big question on Christmas Day with the help of their oldest son Nick Jr., who captured the moment on camera as Nick presented Keonna with a "big rock."

Sharing the news on Instagram, the couple posted their loved up photos where the bride-to-be showed off her new ring. "Merry Christmas.... @keonnanecole Said Yes!!!!! Aye Christmas to remember for the young family," he wrote in the caption.
