AceShowbiz - VH1 has reportedly renewed "Basketball Wives" for a 10th season. According to MTO News, the network is satisfied with the reality show's performance in terms of rating, thus the renewal. However, viewers seemingly won't see several familiar faces in the new season.

"Ratings this year were the best in years, VH1 renewed the show as soon as they could," an insider tells the site. "Everyone is happy with the way things are going with the show," the source continues.

As for the reason of the casting shakeup, the production insider shares, "Some women wanted to leave, and some needed to be let go." The cast member who has opted not to return is Tami Roman, adds the source.

Also not returning for an upcoming season is Ogom "OG" Chijindu, though she's allegedly fired rather than walked away from the show on her own. "OG is very aggressive, and she's powerful. So her aggression is very dangerous. Many women don't feel comfortable around her," the informant explains.

One of the many instances of OG showcasing her power was the moment when the professional female football player easily tossed co-star Evelyn Lozada into the bushes in the latest episode of the show's season 9.

Joining OG is Feby Torress. "She was too ghetto," says the source.

Evelyn, Shaunie O'Neal, Jennifer Williams, Malaysia Pargo and Jackie Christie are all returning. The site notes that the ladies are considered "untouchable." Meanwhile, Kristen Scott's and CeCe Gutierrez's fates remain unknown. The network may ask them to return, but it's also said that it's planning to replace the two with more "exciting" personalities.

"Basketball Wives" is currently airing its season 9 on Wednesdays at 8 P.M. on VH1.
