AceShowbiz - Soulja Boy has been leading a healthy lifestyle after he's released from prison. The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, appeared to be packing on the pounds when he was spotted earlier this month, and his manager Miami Mike now reveals that it's the result of getting sober.
Miami tells TMZ that Soulja has been staying clean and quit alcohol and doing drugs of any kind since he's out of L.A. County Jail. The 29-year-old, who previously weighed only 130 lbs., has gained 50 lbs. after cutting out lean.
Sipping on lean is believed to have constantly killed Soulja's appetite, but now he has a steady and healthy appetite. He is also able to work out much more, according to the site.
Not only physically, Soulja's new lifestyle has also reportedly benefited him financially. His manager claims the "Turn My Swag On" rapper has stabilized his bank account since he stopped taking drugs, because he used to spend an average of $500 to $800 per day on lean.
Soulja was arrested in March and sentenced to 240 days in prison for a probation violation. He was released from jail on July 14, after only serving for three months. The jail authorities explained that Soulja was a good boy behind bars, which factored in his early release.
In July, Soulja vowed that he's going to make big changes in his life. He said that he cut off people he believed were bad for him, and he also decided to utilize social media far less frequently.
Earlier this month, CEO Money Mike of SODMG debunked reports that Soulja was missing after his mother reportedly filed a missing person report to the LAPD for not being able to get in touch with him. Sharing a video of Soulja, Money posted on Instagram, "PSA!!! ( PLEASE SHARE) he's not Missing!!!"
"Guys!! @souljaboy had been FREE since July 14th of this year!!! He is ok and ALIVE & Well ,, as a matter if fact,hes doing so well that hes gained 50lbs.. the Biggest Comeback continues!!" the CEO declared. Giving an insight into Soulja's new lifestyle, he claimed, "He's just moving different & try"na stay out of the way & trouble.."
