AceShowbiz - The TV reboot of "Scream: Resurrection" is finally coming closer. After being in the works for 3 years and a half, the third season of "Scream" is going to air this July, moving from its original home MTV to VH1. Additionally, VH1 offers the first look at the series that features Mary J. Blige, Tyga, C.J. Wallace among others.

The footage opens with a girl, who is dressed in a punk outfit, walking alone at the night. "Hello?" she says after turning around, seemingly feeling as if she is being followed. The video also flashes Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), an all-star athlete who will be the center of the story.

Additionally, the brief trailer offers the look at the fresh hell Ghostface. He brings terror to the characters including Paris Jackson's character, who seems to be the killer's first victim.

Announced on October 14, 2016, season 3 of "Scream" follows Deion, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future. It wll also put the lives of his unlikely group of friends in danger.

The upcoming season also stars Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula and Giullian Yao Gioiello. Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty are executive producing the series which brings an all-new cast, premise and location. Joining as executive producers are Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad. Meanwhile, Matthew Signer and Keith Levine produce the six-episode series, with VH1's Maggie Malina and Dana Gotlieb-Carter overseeing.

The three-night event series is set to debut Monday, July 8 on VH1. It will run for two hours per night, starting at 9 P.M., through Wednesday, July 10.
