Through videos he shares on his social media account, the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' hitmaker expresses his anger over removal of the Nation of Islam leader from Facebook and Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg is encouraging fans to post footage of Minister Louis Farrakhan online after the Nation of Islam leader was banned from Facebook and Instagram on Thursday, May 02.

Farrakhan, who has a history of making anti-Semitic comments, was removed from the two social media platforms on Thursday, May 02, as part of a new initiative to crack down on those believed to be spreading "dangerous" speech.

The news didn't sit well with Snoop, who took to Instagram and shared a video of himself urging his followers to stand up for the 85-year-old religious leader.

"What up? If you're down with it like I'm down with it, post your favourite Minister Farrakhan videos on your Instagram and Facebook page. Show some love to a real brother," he said.

"Post it right now, he's got footage everywhere. If you ain't gone none, snatch it off YouTube, it's everywhere (sic)," Snoop continued. "Put up some Minister Louis Farrakhan footage, show some love, show what he really be talking about. Educate, truth. Can't ban all of us (sic)."

Just hours earlier, the rapper posted another video in which he told his 31.2 million followers, "Facebook and Instagram just banned the minister Louis Farrakhan. I want to know for what."

"All he ever do was tell the truth. What if we ban y'all? What if we start f**king with y'all, Facebook and Instagram (sic)?"

"I stand with him. Ban me motherf**ker! Ban me! Because I'm gonna keep posting this s**t ... F**k y'all who got a problem with him (sic)."

A spokesperson for Facebook executives has confirmed to CNN Business that they had banned Farrakhan along with several other controversial figures, including InfoWars pundit Alex Jones.

Their statement read, "We've always banned individuals or organisations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology."

"The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today."
