The 'Roseanne' actress breaks the news about her exit from the talk show co-hosted by Sharon Osbourne among others just weeks after 'The Conners' got renewed for a second season.

AceShowbiz - Longtime "Roseanne" star Sara Gilbert is quitting TV chat show "The Talk".

The former child star, who helped create the hit daytime show, announced she would be leaving at the end of this season on Tuesday, April 09.

"This is something I have been struggling with for a while, and going back and forth, but I've decided it's time for me to leave the show," she said. "I obviously love it here, and this was extremely difficult."

The news comes weeks after "Roseanne" spin-off "The Conners", in which Gilbert stars, was renewed for a second season.

"Last season I did 'The Conners' and, as you know, also producing... and I loved it and felt totally empowered," she added. "But my life was slightly out of balance, and I was not spending as much time with my three kids as I would like."

"The Talk" currently features Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Carrie Ann Inaba, rapper Eve and Sheryl Underwood.
