Having received $2,500 from her on-screen sister when her cousin died in a car accident, the 'Modern Family' actress returns the favor upon learning about the financial help Ariel's cousin needs.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Hyland has donated $2,500 (£1,900) to an online fundraiser to help cover the medical costs of her TV sister's cousin.

Ariel Winter took to Instagram on Monday night (April 08) to ask fans for their financial help, revealing a relative had been placed on life support over the weekend after doctors diagnosed him with bacterial infection Haemophilus influenzae - and Hyland was one of the first to sign up to the GoFundMe account.

The $2,500 she donated is the same amount Winter gave Hyland's family after the actress' 14-year-old cousin died in a car accident in December (2018).

According to The Blast, Winter's cousin has been released from the hospital.

The GoFundMe donations will help cover the cost for additional testing and help his family survive while he's out of work and recovering.
