AceShowbiz - Sarah Hyland was a "tyrant," according to her co-star in "The Wedding Year". Comedian Jeff Dye, who used to date Kristin Cavallari, decided to spill the tea about his on-set experience with the "Modern Family" alum. And boy, is it piping hot.
"Sarah Hyland sucks," 42-year-old Dye didn't mince his words as he summarized his feelings in an Instagram caption. He shared a clip of his interview on "The George Janko Show" where he explained in details why he didn't have the best impression of his younger co-star.
"I did a movie. It was called The Wedding Year. I played Anna Camp's husband, so I'm on set for, I don't know, 30 seconds, right? That's how big my role was," he began his story.
Dye painted a picture of Hyland as a chain-smoking diva who's "terrible" and "rude to everyone." According to Dye, Hyland was so incensed by extras "eating at the craft service table" that she snarked to the director. "She was annoyed that some extras wanted f***ing free granola bars, like it was in her kitchen or something," he said.
Dye also talked about the "hierarchy" on set. "She's number one on the call sheet. We have to pander to her," he said. The comedian, however, refused to play the game, so when everyone was crowding around Hyland as she tried to show them the "Dumbo" trailer, he pulled a little stunt.
Contrary to Hyland who got a little teary-eyed when watching the video, his reaction was stark contrast. He readily admits he did it just to "ruin" the moment. "I just wanted to ruin it. And I did," he confessed. "I ruined it, and she hated me. … Whatever, I was off the set the next day."
