AceShowbiz - It's here! After much waiting, the first full-length trailer of "Game of Thrones" has been released by HBO for viewing pleasure. The new footage offers what to expect in the upcoming final season of the hit HBO series, including a sneak peek at the battle of Winterfell which is allegedly the longest battle in the TV and film history.
The 1-minute-and-45-seconds trailer opens with Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) running frantically. Later, she's seen saying, "I know death. He's got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one," while showing off her roughly-made blade, most likely made of dragonglass.
The trailer also teases new character Harry Stickland (Marc Rissman), who is looking over the troops from the dangerous alliance between Euron Geyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Meanwhile, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Arya are later seen looking at Drogon and Rhaegal, Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) remaining dragons, in such an awe.
Additionally, the trailer glimpses a battle in flames. However, it's hard to make out the scene since it takes place at night. Spotted in the battle are Arya Stark and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who is later seen making a plea -- presumably to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys -- as he says, "I promise to fight for the living. And I will keep that promise."
Somewhere in the trailer, Jon and Dany are walking towards Drogon and Rhaegal. The scene makes fans wonder if we will see Jon riding a dragon in the new season.
Concluding the trailer is an eerie scene of the highly-anticipated battle of Winterfell which sees the final confrontation between the death and the living. Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and her faithful squire Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) are looking highly alerted as they join Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) and Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) in the front lines. Backed with a daunting score, a pair of horse's legs flickers on the screen as it indicates the arrival of the Night King and his Army of Dead.
"Game of Thrones" season 8 premieres on Sunday, April 14 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
