The cameo aside, the seven-piece group successfully delivers a slew of their greatest hits during the headlining set.

AceShowbiz - Despite all the controversies ahead of the performance, Maroon 5 successfully delivered an amazing show at the Super Bowl LIII's halftime show. While Travis Scott (II) and Big Boi have long been confirmed to accompany them during the show, it appears the band brings one more unexpected guest when they took the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, February 3.

The Adam Levine-fronted band kicked off their headlining set with a rendition of "We Like Digging?" track "Harder to Breathe" as red sparklers erupted around the stadium. After Adam threw off his jacket to reveal a black-and-red button down, the band proceeded to belt out one of their classics, "This Love".

Granting the wish of millions of people who wished to see a tribute to "SpongeBob SquarePants" during the halftime show, a brief video of the characters of the cartoon flickers on the screen. Squidward was introducing "true musical genius" Travis, but Spongebob couldn't contain his excitement as he danced. "It's lit," Travis could be heard saying, before the video cut back to the halftime show at Mercedes-Benz. Surrounded by fire, he performed his hit song "Sicko Mode".

Maroon 5 took the stage once again, serenading the audience with a rendition of "Girls Like You". Instead of Cardi B, the band was accompanied with choir group Voice of Atlanta. Taking the crowd down the nostalgia line for the second time, the band performed "She Will Be Loved". Paper lanterns were released to the sky to spell "One Love," during the set.

After that, Big Boi made his entrance to the field in a black car. Wearing a floor-length fur coat, he belted out Outkast's classic "I Like the Way You Move".

For the final part of the headlining set, Adam and the others performed another hit "Sugar". Throwing off his button-down, the frontman showed off his tats in a tank top while flaunting off his sweet falsetto. As the group sang the last song "Move Like Jagger" without guest feature Christina Aguilera, Adam ditched his shirt altogether.
