AceShowbiz - Amber Rose has made a shocking revelation about her younger years. Having been known to be working as a stripper to make ends meet, the 35-year-old model confessed that her financial situation once forced her to consider being a drug dealer. Still, her pretty face apparently hindered her from getting the job.
The ex-wife of Wiz Khalifa made the candid exposure during an appearance on Van Lathan's "The Red Pill" podcast. "I usually don't tell people this but I tried selling crack in my neighborhood," she recalled. "They said I was gonna get robbed, I was a girl and I was too pretty, and it wasn't going to happen."
The refusal did not stop Amber from taking a plunge into the dark business though. While she didn't get to sell the drugs, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant "would bag it up for them." She added, "I would weigh it and bag up the crack rocks for them, and they would throw me some money."
During the chat, Amber also explained why she was reluctant in sharing this dark side of her past. "I feel like rappers always get this of, like, 'I had to sell drugs to feed my daughter. I had to sell drugs to feed my family.' Like, 'We made something out of nothing,' " she spilled. "When it comes to me, do I have to give you this story to understand? It's been nine years since I been famous, I never told that to nobody."
The former girlfriend of Kanye West continued, "It was a hard time in the beginning, and I became a stripper very young. I made that decision, nobody in my family put that on me. I don't really think people understand how 'hood I grew up… the s**t that I had to overcome, and even overcome after I became famous. My life has never been easy… [But] it did push me to that limit to go fend for my family."
