AceShowbiz - Amber Rose, the 41-year-old model and reality TV star, made headlines last year when her staunch support for Donald Trump cost her a significant number of fans. In a candid interview with Maxim, Rose discussed the backlash she faced and why she remains unapologetic.
"During the election, I was 'canceled'," she said. "Now? All the naysayers are quiet. They see he's already changing our country for the better."
Rose, who shares children with Wiz Khalifa and Alexander "AE" Edwards, addressed the importance of reality and open dialogues in society. "Unfortunately, the 'woke' left cancels people for having a different ideology," she commented.
According to her, left-leaning individuals focus more on feelings than objective truths. "I used to be on the left and thought I was doing the right thing. That's why it's so important to have open conversations," she attested.
"Fortunately for me, I don't give a f*** and will always stand 10 toes down until the wheels fall off, regardless of what my beliefs may be," she affirmed. She emphasized that instead of silencing opposing views, America needs to tackle difficult conversations to foster a better place.
One of the pivotal moments in Rose's political journey was her speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July 2024. She openly praised Trump and detailed her shift in political beliefs. "Donald Trump and his supporters don't care if you're Black, white.... It's all love. These are my people. This is where I belong," she proclaimed in her address.
Rose also revealed her latest project, a new show that will feature her opinions on politics and other current events. "I'm excited to announce my new show. It'll be my opinion on politics and other current events," she mentioned, teasing her future plans.
When asked about a potential political career, she didn't dismiss the idea entirely. "Maybe. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm definitely in love with it," she mused.
As Amber Rose continues to navigate the often turbulent waters of political and public opinion, she remains unfazed by the critics. Her unapologetic stance and call for more open, honest dialogues could serve as a lesson for many in today's polarized climate.
