Trailing closely with 2 trophies is FX's anthology series 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story', which is named the Best Limited Series.

AceShowbiz - The 24th annual Critics' Choice Awards, which was held on Sunday night, January 13, has revealed its full winner list. "The Americans" alongside "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" were named as the big winners in TV category at the award-giving event presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA).

FX's "The Americans", which wrapped up its story last year, was awarded with Best Drama Series trophy after beating out fellow nominees including "Better Call Saul" (AMC), "Homecoming" (Amazon) and "Killing Eve" (BBC America) among others. The Golden Globe-winning series also earned star Matthew Rhys an award after he was announced as the winner of Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Rhys was not the only "The Americans" cast member who went home with an award on hand. Noah Emmerich came out as the winner of Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, which nominees included Richard Cabral from "Mayans MC", Asia Kate Dillon from "Billions", Justin Hartley from "This Is Us and Richard Schiff from "The Good Doctor" among others.

Also bagging three awards at the big night was Netflix's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel". The comedy series snagged one of the biggest prizes in TV department by winning Best Comedy Series. Actresses Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein also received awards after winning Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series respectively.

Trailing closely with 2 trophies was FX's anthology series "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story", which was named the Best Limited Series. Coming fresh off its victory at the 2019 Golden Globes, the series bested Amazon's "A Very English Scandal", HBO's "Sharp Objects", National Geographic's "Genius: Picasso", Netflix's "American Vandal" and Showtime's "Escape at Dannemora".

Meanwhile, the category of Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television saw two winners. "Sharp Objects" actress Amy Adams and "Escape at Dannemora" star Patricia Arquette shared the title following tie results.

Joining other honorees at the event, which also handed out the prizes for winners in Movie categories, were "BoJack Horseman" as the winner of the Best Animated Series category and Ben Whishaw as the winner of Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television. It was his second win for the category after nabbing a trophy at the 2019 Golden Globes.
