AceShowbiz - More winners have been announced at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards which is currently underway at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Following the footsteps of Michael Douglas and Richard Madden who were among the early winners, Lady GaGa, Patricia Arquette and Ben Whishaw won other nods at the Sunday, January 6 ceremony.
GaGa bagged Best Original Song - Motion Picture for "A Star Is Born" song "Shallow". She composed the song with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt who also shared the prize. Beating out the likes of "All the Stars" from "Black Panther", "Revelation" from "Boy Erased" and "Girl in the Movies" from "Dumplin'", "Shallow" win was not a surprise.
Taking the stage to accept the prize, GaGa looked emotional. "As a woman in music, it is very hard to get taken seriously," she said, adding that her three male co-writers "lifted me up." The 32-year-old singer/songwriter is also up for Best Performance by An Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her portrayal of Ally in the musical drama.
Meanwhile, Best Original Score - Motion Picture award went to Justin Hurwitz for his work on Neil Armstrong biopic "First Man". He previously won two Golden Globe Awards in 2017 for Best Original Score and Best Original Song ("City of Stars") through his work on "La La Land".
Arquette nabbed Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her role on Showtime's "Escape at Dannemora". She edged out the likes of Amy Adams ("Sharp Objects") Connie Britton ("Dirty John"), Laura Dern ("The Tale") and Regina King ("Seven Seconds") for the title.
Meanwhile, Whishaw took home Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for starring on three-part British miniseries "A Very English Scandal". His co-star and lead actor Hugh Grant is also up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

The show has additionally honored Carol Burnett with the inaugural Carol Burnett Award to recognize a lifetime achievement in Television.
