Contrary to popular belief, the EGOT winner shares on Twitter that participating in 'Surviving R. Kelly' is actually a no brainer decision.

AceShowbiz - John Legend's bravery to participate in Lifetime's documentary titled "Surviving R. Kelly" centering on R. Kelly and his sexual abuse allegations is hugely applauded by many. It is revealed that executive producers of the doc had approached many stars in the music industry only to get turned down. However, the "All of Me" hitmaker didn't.

Following the premiere of the series on January 3, people took to social media to thank the husband of Chrissy Teigen for speaking out about the disgraced musician. While some may think that it would probably take John a long time to say yes, the EGOT winner shared that it was actually a no brainer decision.

"To everyone telling me how courageous I am for appearing in the doc, it didn't feel risky at all. I believe these women and don't give a f**k about protecting a serial child rapist," he tweeted. "Easy decision."

In separate tweet, the "Beauty and the Beast" singer added, "Also I'm happy to support the work of people like my friends at @ALongWalkHome who have been speaking out on behalf of the survivors for a long time."

Many Twitter users showered him with praises, with one of them writing, "I just told my husband, 'This is a John Legend household now. Every project he does, every piece of music he produces, anything he puts together, we support and we buy. Get into it.' " Another fan sweetly said, "You're a good man. Don't ever forget that, John. Thank you."

The three-part docuseries follows a number of accusations that have been made against Kelly in the last few years. It includes an allegation which said that the singer recruited very young women into his entourage before increasing levels of control over their diets, their abilities to communicate with the outside world and controlling every aspect of their lives.

Back in December, the premiere screening of the docuseries in New York City was interrupted by gun threat. The network revealed that "several anonymous threats were called in." Although no one was hurt during the gun-scare, theater management at NeueHouse Madison Square decided to evacuate the building to prevent the worst scenario, according to NYPD spokesperson.
