When asked about rumors of her teen sitcom returning to the small screen, the 'Younger' star expresses her excitement that there has been 'a lot of creative talk.'

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff has teased details about an upcoming "Lizzie McGuire" reboot, revealing the project is in the "very new stages."

The 31-year-old actress starred as the title character in the Disney series from 2001 to 2004, as well as reprising the role for a movie spin-off in 2003. Talk has been swirling for some time about a reboot, and in a chat with Fox News, Hilary had some good news for fans.

"It's in very new stages," she said of the programme returning to the small screen. "There's been a lot of creative talk."

As for why a reboot hasn't happened previously, Hilary mused, "I think the timing hasn't been right. I'm excited at the prospect of it. "Lizzie McGuire" was important to so many people, including me, if she can be important again to girls in this stage of their lives, I think that would be amazing."

Hilary has enjoyed success in recent years with TV Land TV series "Younger". Her personal life has also been busy, as she welcomed daughter Banks, her first child with boyfriend Matthew Koma, in October.

And while she's enjoying life as a mother of two, she also shares six-year-old son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie, Hilary admitted she's also "so tired."

"It's just full on. The extra hands that I have during the day, everyone leaves at 5, so once 5 is on, it's like homework, and bath time for both kids, and trying to get dinner on the table, and still trying to play, and still trying to feed," she sighed. "It's like everything all at once. But other than that it's great and I feel that since I am a second-time mom, I'm a lot less concerned about everything that happens."
