Having been threatened with legal action by Indian musician Mithoon, the 'Can't Believe It' rapper clarifies that he wasn't the one sampling 'Tum Hi Ho' melody for 'That's Yo Money'.

AceShowbiz - T-Pain is insisting he did not intentionally reproduce a melody from a Bollywood tune for his latest track "That's Yo Money".

The hip-hop star was threatened with legal action by Indian musician Mithoon on Wednesday, December 19 over claims the rhythm is strikingly similar to his song, "Tum Hi Ho", which was written for 2013 movie "Aashiqui 2".

T-Pain has now defended himself in a Twitter post, in which he maintains it was his producer who decided to sample the tune in question, before vowing to come to an agreement between his label officials and the creators of "Tum Hi Ho".

"I definitely didn't produce this song," he wrote. "Had no idea that was a sample and have never heard the music before I got the beat from the producer. Easy thing to work out. The labels will be in contact. Thanx (sic)".

Until the dispute is worked out, it appears T-Pain's new single will not be played on YouTube, as the audio has since been removed due to "a copyright claim by a third party," reports NME.com.
