Many deem the coach throws DeaAndre, who was in Team Adam alongside Reagan Strange, under the bus as he chooses Reagan over him even though she doesn't perform.

AceShowbiz - This week's episode of "The Voice" left fans enraged at one particular coach. Adam Levine, who serves as one of season 15 coaches alongside Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson, receives backlash for seemingly playing favorites on the show.

The Tuesday, December 4, episode saw two of his team members, Reagan Strange and DeAndre Nico, being put in the bottom three alongside Team Blake's Dave Fenley. Dave and DeAndre took the stage to perform for Instant Save sing-off, though Reagan remained offstage because she was apparently too sick to perform.

Only one of them would be saved by the Instant Save, meaning that two of them would be sent home.

That night, DeAndre opted to sing John Legend's "All of Me" and earned standing ovations from Jennifer, Kelly and Adam for the stunning performance. However, instead of talking about DeAndre, Adam raved about Reagan and urged fans to vote for her during the commentary.

This sucks, man. DeAndre, you're an exquisite singer. I'm a little confused as to why you're in the bottom -- that perplexes me," Levine said. "But I want to say this... there is an unbelievably talented little girl right now who is not able to fight for her position on this show. And you were fortunate enough tonight to be able to sing. And man, you sang like a champ."

"I want you to know I love you," he told DeAndre. "I appreciate what you've done here tonight, and honestly, I think you should both be there. But I gotta fight for my girl. And I gotta make sure that I represent her properly in this moment, because she didn't have a chance to use her voice tonight. So I'm going to use it for her as well as I possibly can to make sure she can make it next week. That's all I can say. It's weird."

Later that night, it was announced that Reagan was sent to the next round, while DeAndre and Dave were eliminated.

Fans were livid with the bizarre elimination. "Unbelievable how @adamlevine pushed DeAndre under the bus for Reagan. I'm no longer pulling for Adam anymore. That was really unacceptable. #VoiceSaveDeAndre," a fan tweeted.

Another enraged fan wrote, "#thevoice That was bulls**t. She isn't able to perform and Adam pushes Reagan up on a pedestal to be voted for. So unfair. The show is called The Voice. You should be able to save yourself by showing your VOICE." Some others demand a re-do for the three bottom performances while voicing their disappointment in Adam for choosing Reagan over DeAndre.

Johnna Nico, DeAndre's mother couldn't help but blast the coach as well. "I believe Adam was really disrespectful," he said of the Maroon 5 frontman.

"She couldn't sing," she said of Reagan. "It's a singing competition and she couldn't sing, and DeAndre went up there and competed. When he first went up there, DeAndre had laryngitis. He was on antibiotics, and there was no 'oh I'm sick.' No. He had to work and save himself."

"By being their coach he shouldn't have sided with one person over the other," Johnna went on saying. "And this young girl was in a grown persons world, and she couldn't perform. It just shouldn't have happened. And for his coach to sit there and disrespect him like that? My son trusted him and then he went and turned his back on him like that."

John Legend, meanwhile, was left confused by the uproar. "@adamlevine what did you do tonight?? you're all in my mentions. @NBCTheVoice," he wrote on Twitter.
