AceShowbiz - Alan Tudyk is heading to DC Universe. The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" actor has been added to the voice cast of upcoming "Harley Quinn" animated series on DC Universe. Tudyk is set to lend his voice to iconic bad guy in the comics, The Joker.

The "Moana" star's involvement on the series as the Clown Prince of Crime has been confirmed by Diedrich Bader, who voices Batman on the series, "Alan Tudyk... is Joker and is hilarious. I just did a session with him a while ago and he was very funny as Joker," Bader revealed during his appearance in a recent interview with DiscussingFilm.

It's not the first time for Tudyk to voice act. The actor's notable voice acting works include "Big Hero 6" in which he played Alistair Krei, "Frozen" in which he voiced Duke of Weselton and numerous video game characters such as Green Arrow in "Injustice: Gods Among Us" and "Injustice 2". His impressive credits definitely prompt fans to have high hopes about his take on the Joker.

Tudyk will be joining Kaley Cuoco as the titular character, Lake Bale as Dr. Pamela Isley a.k.a. Poison Ivy and Rahul Kohli as Dr. Jonathan Crane a.k.a. Scarecrow. The cast also includes Giancarlo Esposito, J.B. Smoove, Natalie Morales and Christopher Meloni, though their roles are currently kept under wraps.

"Harley Quinn" will be executive produced by Cuoco. Of the show, "The Big Bang Theory" star said, "This show is kind of a very cool, modern take on Harley Quinn. She's such an iconic character that we're excited to bring a much brighter and kind of, even the animation is very bright and modern and hip. And the character is very edgy. The storyline is very edgy and it's definitely not a child's show! It's an adult comedy -- I have to make sure I tell people that! -- which has been a blast to work on. I've never experienced anything like this before. It's been kind of a really cool gig."

"Harley Quinn" will center on the titular character who has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker as she attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City through the Legion of Doom.

"Harley Quinn" doesn't have a premiere date yet.
