The producer behind the adult animated show voiced by Kaley Cuoco reveal they have been forced to cut an oral sex scene from the series due to disapproval from the comic book bosses.

AceShowbiz - The producers of the hit Harley Quinn adult animation series have been forced to cut an oral sex scene from the upcoming season because comic book bosses disapproved.

Co-creator Justin Halpern thought it would be fun to include a scene featuring Batman performing cunnilingus on his girlfriend, but he was told "you absolutely cannot do that" by DC Comics chiefs.

Halpern told Variety he and his team have a lot of creative freedom when it comes to writing and developing villains for the irreverent show, but they have to be careful when it comes to the DC superheroes.

He admits he was taken aback when he was told the oral sex scene had to be cut, "We said, 'Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?' "

The third season of "Harley Quinn", starring Kaley Cuoco as the anti-hero, will stream on HBO Max later this year (21).

Meanwhile, on the big screen, Harley Quinn will be back for James Gunn's "The Suicide Squad". Margot Robbie reprises her role as the pig-tailed bat-wielding anti-hero, joining the likes of Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Peter Capaldi.

The character also got her own movie last year with "Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn". It followed the heroine after she broke up with Joker who was played by Jared Leto in the original "Suicide Squad" movie.

Unfortunately, Jared Leto was sidelined from "Birds of Prey" and won't return for the upcoming "Suicide Squad" soft reboot. His character was taken over by Joaquin Phoenix in the 2019 critically-acclaimed stand-alone feature film adaptation.
