AceShowbiz - This is it! After a lot of tears and heartbreaking messages, Kendra Wilkinson has finally confirmed the end of her marriage to Hank Baskett. The former Playboy model is divorcing her husband after almost nine years of marriage.
She posted on Instagram on Friday, April 6 a photo of her with Hank. "Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man," she wrote in the lengthy caption. "I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways. I'm beyond sad and heartbroken because i did believe in forever, that's why i said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way."
She continued, "We are both amazing parents and our kids will be happy n never know the difference other than seeing mama smile." The 32-year-old star said she made sacrifice in the name of love to make Hank happy. "Sometimes love looks funny. We are told to make sacrifices in life if it's true love well in this case it's me. I want to see happy Hank again... i miss that," she added.
"Marriage was just a piece of paper and a piece of jewelry but our hearts will always be real," she additionally wrote. "U will prob see us together a lot but it's because there's no hate. Love wins in this case it's just looks a little funny. Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed."
Making the decision definitely was not easy for Kendra. She seemed to be sad and heartbroken weeks leading to the divorce, as she showed on her Instagram posts. "Ten years. I did everything I could. It wasn't good enough. I will always love him. My heart will always remain open for him," she said on Instagram Stories earlier this week. "I believed in forever. I really did. Guess it's just not meant to be. I'm so scared. I have to get strong for my kids. I will."
Kendra and Hank got engaged in November 2008 after the former NFL star proposed to her at the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. They tied the knot on June 27, 2009 at the Playboy Mansion. They have two children together, 8-year-old son Hank Baskett IV and 3-year-old Alijah Mary Baskett.
