AceShowbiz - Kendra Wilkinson, a former Playboy model and reality TV star, opened up about experimenting with a weight loss medication. The 39-year-old real estate agent took to Instagram to share her experience, offering candid insights into her decision to discontinue after just one dose.
"I started the weight loss shots," Wilkinson confessed on her Instagram Stories on April 15. "Only did one. Nevermind. Throwing away!!" Just a day later, she explained her reasons for abandoning the medication, stating, "I'm actually OK with a little weight gain. Happier in life nowadays."
Wilkinson, who shares son Hank IV, 15, and daughter Alijah, 10, with ex-husband Hank Baskett, has been the target of body-shaming comments from social media trolls.
Despite these negative remarks, she has embraced a positive outlook on her changing physique. "Heard too many horror stories around me," Wilkinson continued. "People end up in ER. Surgeries. No thanks."
Reflecting on her evolving body image, the star admitted it takes her "a second to post photos now" due to the anticipation of online bullying. Nevertheless, she remains unapologetically proud of her transformed attitude towards life.
"Wondering how much hate and bullying I'll get for my new body and age but I'm going to post this today and feel proud of myself," she wrote on Instagram in March. "I have overcome so much in life and deserve to celebrate myself and my new attitude towards life."
Wilkinson's journey to self-acceptance marks a significant departure from her Playboy days, a period she described as liberating to leave behind. "Not as much f**ks to give when before I was a little more scared of things," she remarked. "Fearing things I couldn't control. Fear can kiss my a** now!!"
While she continues to maintain her fitness through activities like pole dancing, tennis, and weight lifting, Wilkinson emphasizes that she is mentally healthy and content with her life.
"For those of you hating on my new weight [and] 40 yr old face please know that I'm happy, healthy and at peace in life finally," she shared. "Leave me alone and respect that I'm where I actually want to be finally all together."
