AceShowbiz - Cameron Diaz has not been seen onscreen in nearly five years. However, the actress' fans do not need to worry since she has not given up on acting. Earlier, in an interview with Metro, Selma Blair said that the "Charlie's Angels" actress told her that she was done with the whole acting thing. However, her statement in the interview was a joke. She took to her Twitter account to clarify her previous statement and say that Cameron has not retired from acting.

CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz's spokesperson."

In the interview, Selma recalled a conversation she had with Cameron about "The Sweetest Thing", a 2002 film in which they starred together. She said, "I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the film. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like 'I'm done.' " She added, "I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back. She's happy."

A source additionally told Daily Star Sunday, "Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she's just not interested. She's happy, in love and wants to make the most of her freedom and free time."
