'Back in Action' actress Cameron Diaz steps out in a rare outing with her youngest child in Santa Barbara, California, embracing her role as a multitasking mom.

AceShowbiz - Cameron Diaz recently stepped out in Santa Barbara with her nearly one-year-old son, Cardinal, giving the public a rare look at her family life.

The usually private actress was seen carrying her son on her hip while dressed in a chic black top paired with wide-legged jeans. A grey, floor-length coat provided warmth against the unseasonably chilly Southern California weather. Diaz's casual yet fashionable attire was complemented by black-rimmed glasses and a black hat, with her blonde locks tied in a bun.

Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, share two children: Raddix, aged five, and Cardinal, born in March 2024. The family, who generally prefers to stay out of the spotlight, announced Cardinal's birth on Instagram.

The heartfelt message read, "We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here! For the kids' safety and privacy we won't be posting any pictures - but he's a really cute."

This marked a significant moment for the couple, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in January.

Cameron Diaz recently came out of her retirement and but made a noteworthy return with the Netflix thriller "Back In Action" alongside her good pal Jamie Foxx.

Diaz's recent comments to Vanity Fair gave insights into her decision to keep her life out of spotlight as much as possible. "All women, we are conditioned to be objectified. Period. Whether we are movie stars or not, it's just every woman," she said.

She praised her "Charlie's Angels" co-star Demi Moore for challenging this notion by shredding "the film industry constitution" that perpetuates such objectification.

Diaz's return to acting was heavily influenced by her friendship with Foxx. Reflecting on her decision to re-engage with Hollywood, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting, "It is a privilege to make films, and we are all so lucky to do what we do. That the door was even open for me after a decade was amazing."

Beyond her career considerations, Diaz emphasized the importance of family and personal well-being. She and Madden have found solace in therapy, which she credits as their secret tool for maintaining a strong marriage.
