In addition to unearthing a slew of first-look photos of the upcoming series, ABC has revealed its midseason schedule.

AceShowbiz - ABC has given the yet-untitled "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off a premiere date. The network has set the upcoming series to join the TGIT lineup this March along with "Scandal".

The new series, which will be focusing on a group of firefighters at Seattle Fire Station 19, will be getting a two-hour premiere on Thursday, March 22 at 8 P.M. The upcoming series, which stars Jaina Lee Ortiz and Jason George, will shift to its regular 9 P.M. slot starting on March 29.

As to why they still haven't decided on the show's title, ABC President Channing Dungey explained at the network's Television Critics Association press tour on Monday, January 8, "We've gone through a number of different options and ideas. We really want to make sure that we've settled on is the perfect piece."

"Because this is a spin-off of 'Grey's Anatomy', we're using that as a working title for now," Dungey continued. "We didn't want to come out with something here at TCA and then change it a couple of weeks later."

"We would like to know in the next couple weeks. We have a few final ideas that we're rolling around and we obviously want to make sure we have it before we begin marketing it officially to the public," the president concluded.

Alongside the premiere date revelation, ABC released a slew of first-look photos of the series which featured some familiar faces from the mothership series. One of the photos saw Jaina's Andy Herrera with "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey.

Another photo gave a better look at the brand new spin-off's characters. The photo featured Jaina's character in her firefighter uniform, looking ready to go into a fire. Also being featured in the image was Danielle Savre's character, Olympian-turned-firefighter Maya.

Jason's Ben Warren was also featured in the photos. The actor was previously announced to be moving over from "Grey's Anatomy" to the spin-off full time.

Also starring on the new series are Grey Damon as Jack Gibson, Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes, Alberto Frezza as Ryan Tanner, Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery, Okieriete Onaodowan as Dean Miller and Miguel Sandoval as Captain Pruitt Herrera.
