AceShowbiz - Sarah Hyland has just dropped a "Modern Family" truth bomb on her Twitter account. After nine-season long speculation of the sexuality of Haley Dunphy, her character on the Emmy-winning series, the actress appears to confirm a fan theory.
A fan asks the 26-year-old star on Twitter whether or not Haley is bisexual. "I don't know what the writers would say?" the actress later responds the fan's tweet, before adding, "But I confirm."

While fans are rejoicing over Hyland's confirmation, writers of the ABC sitcom have not yet commented on the matter.
Throughout the series, Haley's love life has been featured numerous times. However, her love interest has always been men. Now that Hyland has confirmed that the eldest child of Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) is bisexual, fans may expect Haley to date women in the upcoming tenth and potentially final season of "Modern Family".
"We haven't had that exact conversation yet how we want to end the show episode-wise," the series' co-writer Christopher Lloyd said about ending the series. "We've talked about areas that we want to go and tonally what we want to do."
Debuting in 2009, "Modern Family" follows the stories of different members of the Pritchett family including Jay (Ed O'Neill), wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara), daughter Claire (Bowen), son Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and sons-in-law Phil (Burrell) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet).
Hyland's romantic life is equally interesting as her character's on the ABC sitcom. She recently was the talk of the town, especially among Bachelor Nation, after sparking dating rumors with Wells Adams. The "Dirty Dancing (2017)" actress and the contestant of "Bachelor in Paradise" dressed up as Dustin and Eleven from "Stranger Things" for a Halloween bash.
In one of the photos she shared on her Instagram account, the alleged couple was featured having a lovely moment as smiling Hyland seemed to whisper something to the handsome hunk beside her.
