The 'Normal Heart' actress is reportedly circling the lead role on Sam Esmail's next project called 'Homecoming'.

AceShowbiz - Julia Roberts is setting her eyes on another TV project. According to Variety, the "Money Monster" actress is in negotiations to portray a lead role on "Homecoming", a new TV series from "Mr. Robot" creator Sam Esmail.

The show is based on the podcast of the same name from Gimlet Media. It is expected to focus on a caseworker at a secret government facility, her supervisor and a soldier. 49-year-old Roberts is reportedly circling the role of the caseworker.

In 2014, Julia Roberts starred on HBO's TV movie "The Normal Heart". She shared screens with Mark Ruffalo, Matthew Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons, Alfred Molina, Joe Mantello and Jonathan Groff. It scored multiple accolades including an Emmy nomination for her. She will next lead and produce a limited series "Today Will Be Different" for the premium cable network.
