The 'Make Me Feel' singer, who has starred in 'Hidden Figures', is taking on the leading role in the second season of the Amazon Prime psychological thriller series.

AceShowbiz - Janelle Monae's fear of filling Julia Roberts' shoes for the second season of hit drama "Homecoming" disappeared after the Oscar winner surprised her on set.

The singer and actress took over for the screen veteran, who headlined the debut season of the Amazon Prime show and still retains an executive producer role, and admits she was nervous about taking her place.

"There's no replacing Queen Julia," she tells Entertainment Weekly, before revisiting her unforgettable encounter with the "Pretty Woman" star.

"After we finished shooting a scene I heard this loud scream, and come to find out it was her (sic). For her to respond with excitement, literally, and to meet and hug each other, that was enough to relax me."

The "Harriet" star joins original cast member Stephan James and newcomers Chris Cooper and Joan Cusack for the new season of the psychological thriller.
