AceShowbiz - Cookie rules at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards. %cTaraji P. Henson% took home an award for Best Actress in a TV Series - Drama for her portrayal of the Lyon matriarch on FOX's popular and critically acclaimed series "Empire".
"Cookies for everyone tonight, my treat," Henson said when accepting the award. "Who knew playing an ex-convict would take me all around the globe." She added, "My fans, they've been praying for this, they all on Twitter, you gotta give me time."
That's the only award "Empire" won that night. The show lost the Best Drama title to "Mr. Robot", which came out as a big winner with a total of two gongs. The USA Network series also bagged Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for its star %cChristian Slater%.
Best Actor in a TV Series - Drama went to %cJon Hamm% for his portrayal of Don Draper on "Mad Men". It's his second Golden Globe for his role on the now canceled AMC series.
"Mozart in the Jungle", meanwhile, came out as a surprise winner in Best TV Series - Comedy category, beating out more popular series such as "Orange Is the New Black", "Silicon Valley", "Transparent" and "Veep". Its star %cGael Garcia Bernal% also won Best Actor in a TV Series - Comedy.
%cLady GaGa% won her first Golden Globe Award that night, being named Best Actress in a Limited-Series or TV Movie for her amazing performance on "American Horror Story: Hotel". "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" lead %cRachel Bloom% was dubbed Best Actress in a TV Series - Comedy.
Also at the January 10 ceremony, %cDenzel Washington% was honored with Cecil B. DeMille Award presented by %cTom Hanks%.
