"7th Heaven", which had been yanked from multiple networks in October in the wake of Stephen Collins' child molestation scandal, quietly returned on UP TV. The network decided to put reruns of the show back in schedule again as headlines about Collins started to quiet down, but that didn't last long.
Apparently the show's return got mixed responses from viewers and many were unhappy about it. "We have received a mixed to negative response regarding the show on Facebook and in viewer emails," the network says in a statement. "Clearly, a show that has been a fan favorite series for us has been severely impacted."
The network then decided to pull "7th Heaven" reruns from schedule again. They explain, "We brought the show back because many viewers expressed they could separate allegations against one actor from the fictional series itself, as it turns out they cannot. We will be taking the show back off the air."
Collins starred as Reverend Eric Camden on "7th Heaven". The actor gained attention for the wrong reason earlier this year after an audiotape in which he allegedly admitted to exposing himself to some children surfaced online. The audiotape was reportedly taken during a therapy session with his wife Faye Grant in 2012.
