Harry Styles says he congratulated the Duchess of Cambridge on 'the bump,' although she 'didn't look bumpy,' while Liam Payne admits he was really nervous.

Prince William and Kate Middleton met boyband royalty One Direction at a recent event in London. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shook hands with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson when they were attending the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium on Thursday night, November 13.
The band chatted briefly about their tour plan with Prince William, who said he had been "keeping a close eye" on them, and his wife. "I said congratulations on the bump," Styles shared after the meeting, adding that she "didn't look bumpy." Payne admitted that he was really nervous, saying, ''It's the most nervous I think I've ever been in my life."
Tomlinson, meanwhile, was worried that he made mistake when greeting Prince George's mother. "I didn't say ma'am. I said - Hi. How are you? I'm Louis," the singer recalled. "So he's off to a bad start," Payne joked.
The Duchess looked lovely that night in a black Diane von Furstenberg dress. Her growing baby bump was barely noticeable. She styled her hair in an up do and completed her elegant look with a pair of diamond loop earrings, a clutch and a ring.
Apart from the super group, the event was attended by Bette Midler and Ed Sheeran. Ellie Goulding, who sang at the Duke and Duchess' wedding, was also present.
