AceShowbiz - Prior to Liam Payne's tragic death in October, One Direction was reportedly in talks for a reunion show. Now, the surviving members, consisting of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, are considering a tribute performance in his honor.

One Direction was reportedly discussing a potential reunion show before the untimely death of Liam Payne on October 16. According to sources, all five original members, including Zayn Malik, who left the band in 2015, were involved in the discussions.

Although the plans have been indefinitely postponed due to Payne's passing, insiders have suggested that a concert is still possible, albeit with a different significance. The surviving members are said to be considering performing a tribute show in honor of their late bandmate.

"The guys would love to do a tribute to Liam," a source said. "They're all so devastated right now [that] they can't even think about that as a legitimate project, but it has been discussed."

The source also noted that Payne's death has brought the remaining members closer together. "Prior, they kept in touch sporadically but didn't have close friendships at all," the insider said. "They're all still mourning but are checking in on each other and feel closer than they have in years. It brought them back together."

One Direction has rarely been seen together since their breakup in 2016, but they reunited at Payne's private funeral on November 20, demonstrating their strong bond even after his tragic passing.
