Hiccup's long-lost mother is introduced in the first trailer for "How to Train Your Dragon 2". She is the mysterious dragon rider he meets in a secret ice cave during his exploration of new lands after he flew away from his island of Berk.
The film takes place five years since Hiccup and Toothless successfully united dragons and Vikings. While the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races, the now-inseparable buddies journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds.
It leads him to the discovery of a larger conflict brewing between humans and dragons and he finds himself at the center of it. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons.
Jay Baruchel and Gerard Butler are back voicing Hiccup and his father respectively. Cate Blanchett lends her voice to Valka, Hiccup's mother. Supported by America Ferrera and Jonah Hill, the animated film will be available for public's viewing in theaters across the country on June 13, 2014.
